A new crushing, grinding, and flotation process was designed for the Endako Expansion Project, utilizing standard unit processes and equipment. The selected grinding mill configuration is one 36’ SAG mill and two 22’ ball mills to produce a flotation feed P80 of 200 microns replacing the existing primary grinding circuit configuration of 5 rod mills-5 ball mills producing a P80 of 350 microns.

A new flotation circuits and regrind mills have been included in the expansion. The flotation circuit consists of 14 x 160m3 rougher-scavenger flotation and five stages of cavitation tube column cleaners to generate the final molybdenum concentrate.
A new regrind circuits consists of two Isamill M1000’s for the first stage regrind of rougher-scavenger concentrate and one Isamill M1000 for the second regrind of 2nd cleaner concentrate. The design of the plant includes automatic samplers and two particle size monitors also.
Final concentrate will then be sent from the new plant over to Endako’s existing HCl leach and Roasting facility.
