Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Every employee of Endako Mines has the right to a safe work place. The employer has an obligation to provide the resources and training necessary in providing a safe work place and the employee has an obligation to observe safety regulations and carry out common sense safe work procedures.

The employer’s obligations will be fulfilled by ensuring that:

  • • Personnel are available to provide the resources and guidance necessary to continuously improve the safety programs in place
  • • Personal protective safety equipment is available and used when required
  • • Training is appropriate, relevant and thorough
  • • The investigation of serious incidents which have or could have led to serious injury or property loss is prompt and conclusive. Additionally, that recommendations developed are made known to all affected individuals
  • • Safety procedures are in place, regularly reviewed and made known to all employees
  • • Safety procedures are followed by all employees
  • • Occupational health and safety committees prescribed by law are encouraged to contribute to continuous safety improvement to the maximum
  • • All contractors and suppliers visiting or doing business with Endako comply with these policies and applicable laws and regulations

Everyone’s obligations are clear. They can only be fulfilled by constant vigilance and effort to identify hazards and unsafe work practices. Involvement in safety committees, and cooperation with government officials as well as with company personnel charged with occupational health and safety improvement is critical. Everyone must strive to protect the health and safety of themselves, fellow workers and the general public.
